What Things Does Silence Silence?

What can the marines hear...
I just found out that silence will silence the sound of you getting healed by a DC...very cool! What else does it effect? What will give me away? They can still hear leap, right? My rule of thumb would be if I can hear it, they can hear it, but can they ever hear you switch weapons? Somethings I can hear but they can't, right?

As far as I'm aware, it silences everything except your attack sound. So it won't silence a screaming leap, a bite, spike shooting, claw swiping, etc.

Running, flying, healing, changing weapons, and so on are silenced.

It also mutes the sound of cloaking, making silence, cloak, and regen a good combination for hit & run tactics.

    ALL except attack sounds.

your "screen sounds" (like weapon change) can't be heared.

Wee! Gotta love silence. It doesn't appear to mute the "atmospheric" idle noises the aliens make mind, so I tend to just opt for celerity or adrenaline in the current version... although I'm not sure what's planned for it right now.

As a skulk cloak and silence is a must if you want to scare the crap out of them and kill them without them hearing or seeing you.

I usually go for Carapace, Celerity and Cloak, for when I can go Melee Fade, but I shall have to try this in a low-resource game, because I can imagine a Silenced, Carapaced skulk would be even deadlier than the little cuddly things already are

if the marines have no motion tracking, a silenced skulk could reall hurt them. I know I depend on my hearing a lot since MT has been disabled for a lot of the games I played, and most others the commander doesn't research it. Even with MT, a skulk staying motionless for a while can suprise a marine that is not looking that way.

I think silence can be really useful for lerks so the marines can not hear you flying , so you can give them good surprises.
I just found being a skulk with silence that silence doesn't silence totally the sounds of moving and such ,but it makes them very low . I used 'stopsound' once and I was able to distinguish the sound of my movements.

doesn't "stopsound" only make your own sounds stop... the other's can still hear you.. isn't it so???
