Bah, I started a topic like this in the original forums. Looks like it's gone now. Too bad, there we're some pretty good ones like someone asking his dog why he wasn't building O chambers after coming out of a dream.
I'm playing NS and my roomie comes in and asks me a question. I respond to him, and all of a sudden he just stares at me.
I'm like, what's wrong?
And then he gets super freaked out.
He told me that I was talking to him in the same tone of voice that I would in commanding my soldiers or telling people to get to a waypoint. He tells me to get a life, walks out of my room. And then I go play NS.
when u just finish playing, then come read this post and then think 'i need another game'
does anyone ever get the feeling when u are walking around the map and when u hear the turret bleeps... u get scared? whether yr an aliens OR a marine?

- You find yourself walking around your furnature, muttering "God, blindspots everywhere! This TF isn't going to last five minutes!"
- (Kharaa too much) You're playing as marines, run into a WoL and take a bit of damage. Retreating, you hear the def chambers regenerating and think "oh good, I need healing", so you run back into the WoL and die. (guilty)
You hear random noises when doing stuff, and immediately think of in-game noises. (For example, last night I moved my chair, and it's legs on the ground made a noise that immediately made me think the door was going to open. You know, that little beep when you use a console to open a door).
(Play as marines too much) Even when you're an alien, you get freaked out by the noises aliens make. Once I played as a skulk, and was majorly freaked out for a while because I thought an alien was following me. Then I realized that what I was hearing was myself walking.
I havent read the whole thread but... god that one really marked me a whole lot...
I dreamed that my school was a NS map (like some kind of custom, and the cafeteria was the hive... I don't really remember, but I remember noticing that's odd, our door to the classroom is closed... anybody got a welder?
now dont say Im mad Im not D: Im pretty sure its normal to dream about NS after youve played a whole weekend non-stop.
