However, the close/minimise buttons look a tad out of place, and maybe funk up the background a tad?
So heres the deal all I could do was create .rar files. LIKE 20 OF EM!!!! However, I havent used .rar files in so long, I couldnt tell you what to do with them <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
I think you could just extract them to a folder and then drop the new files into your "nstr" folders.(All .bmp into nstr\gfx\shell and logo.avi to nstr\media) Although Im pretty sure the coresponding folders should be created upon extraction.
Anyway, this is quite a process on my end and yours if yer gonna DL and extract 20 files so I will wait on that till a few off you say youd still like to do it.
Also, I dont know if 20 posts with "full" attachments is appropriate for these forums so I will also wait for a response from a moderator, as long as enough of you are still interested.
the easiest way to do it would be for me to ICQ the zip to you #155210106
That rocks man.
actually, I used Photoshop for the most part. Then I made a gif animation in Imageready that I turned into an AVI in Animation Shop(Paint Shop Pro) Thank god for Animation Shop too otherwise the AVI woulda been 40 Megs!!! right now its 7 or so wich is actually pretty small considering its 640x100 and 11 Sec long as well as bieng uncompressed. And as for selling it to NS team, I imagine they already got somethin in mind (hopefully not =P) But if they were interested I think Id be happy to trade for a copy of NS 1.0 =D Im puttin it on my resume any way, though it'd be nice to say it was actually released with the mod

<!--emo&:0--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'><!--endemo--> /as I am distracted by boobies on TV...er...sorry
Flayra, if the team is actually considering using this as the official shell...look it over and feel free to make any suggestions and have me do the changes. I will slowly work on the project mentioned above for fun in the meantime <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
I think we are definately going to keep this shell in for all the early beta test versions, but I can't gaurantee its going to stay for the finall version, as this was something I was planning on getting to near the end. But if we do end up changing it we may still keep parts of it in, with your permission of course.
Again, nice job.
the part about non-royalty fonts, and also after realizing that "minion" is not freeware <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
the main font I use is called "Alexis". Although it is heavily modified version I thought I should include the fonts readme here:
