and what you get w/ a preorder...
I'm a bit confused w/ all the talk of The Oricana of Time coming w/ the Wind Waker. I never had an n64, so I missed out on this one. Despite my not being impressed w/ the 20 minutes or so of it I played on my roomate's system, I'm told that I missed something really good. So I was kinda interested when I heard about the big N bundling it when you pre-order The Wind Waker...

But is it an updated version, or are they just giving you the n64 cartridge? I mean if its the cartridge, well there's not much point in that, as i don't have an n64. And if its a new version made for the cube, well... It seems a bit silly that they'd make an entire game (porting is a really extensive process) and never distribute it again...

I'd kinda like to have Oricana of Time if it was cheap to get, but I don't really have any desire for the new one. I mean i'll rent it, but I'm not coughing up 50 clams before I get a chance to try it out...

alternate solutoin to getting ocarina of time:
buy the a "used" version of the game, then get a emulator, and the rom for ocarina of time. - so far as i know its legal to have roms for games you have in a original state.
and what emulator should you choose. -project 64 is pretty good.

It's a 1:1 converted version of Zelda 64, playable on your Cube. Personally, I'd really recommend you try it. Some of the cutscenes, as small as they may be, are amongst the best gaming has ever seen (I'm thinking about the timechanges and the final battle).

The Ocarina Of Time sits proudly in my collection of N64 games, right next to Majora's Mask
and Perfect Dark. These 3 games are reason in itself to go borrow/steal/buy/scavage a
chunky black thing know as the Nintendo 64.
You can pick up the console a Zelda very cheap nowadays and I HIGHLY advise it.
JUST for the 3 above games. These 3 games will provide over 50 hours
of entertainment. Hell i've racked up at least 100 hours on Perfect Dark (great single player
and drag some mates round for Multi-player)

As for the GameCube OoT port, i've heard rumours that it'll have more area's to explore.
There's quite a few places on the 64 OoT map that are blurred out by clouds but you never
know what Nintendo will pull out of their hat.

Ocarina of Time was AMAZING. Next to a Link to the Past, it's my favorite Zelda game.

I was kinda hesitant about Wind Waker for a while, but Miyamoto is in charge. I thought about it, and can't think of one BAD thing Miyamoto has done. The cel shading probably won't bother me after 5-10 minutes of playing.

yeah flatline.. i mean the initial look of Mario Sunshine turned me off of it, but after I just played it I realised it was damn fun. I'm hoping zelda will do the same... but i still don't wanna buy it, heh.
