Always here to exercise the right..... It is a great a game
My favorite Area would have to be Sadrith Mora. The architecture is so unique and awsome. Im love the environment. And it holds the house Telvanni. The best house of all. If you play and havent checked them out yet, go to sadrith mora and go into the tower on he side of the island. The "mouths" are speakers for their mage masters. Talk to them and ask about joining and ask about the rules of the house and see why I like them so much.
On another nothe I am four or five missions away from completely every theives guild job.

hehe, was playing with this in the CS lab here at school and I could not get it to run on my comp (graphx probs)
but I just installed a geforce 4 and now it runs great so Iwill be playing a tad bit more
"WTF???" I hear you scream. Well, take a look at the NPCs. Not only do they have a very limited range of actions, they're also completely lacking any character. Even main persons such as guildmasters aren't fleshed out in any way. I always felt like the only 'living being' on that island.
I think Morrowind is a great game, but yeah, it does have its flaws.
Bad points: * Lack of interaction with characters; surely they could do something more interesting than just stand around? * Lack of skill involved in fights, i.e. aim and press fire, and hope you have enough skill points to hit them. * Rendering system. Surely its not absolutely necessarry to draw *every single polygon*within view...some sort of 'zone' system could have fixed this. (I guess they didnt have the time or didn't think it was worth it) * AI character movement. Can't they just follow you in a straight line? * Fargoth.
Good points: * Everything else!
What I would really really love to see though, is every single cell in the game to be drawn at once, so you can see the huge towering Red Mountain from wherever you are on the island. Unfortunately, this would require a fair few more polygons than they have already...heh.

umm, they don't draw all poly gons (I think) I thought they use an atmospheric degridation style thing (thus the farther away something is the less sharp it is)
but yah, basicaly it is a frikn giant version of one of the old CRPGs (pool of radiance anyone?)
and alot of the fun comes when you say SCREW THIS this aint REAL it is time to AI BASH!!!!!
AI bashing in morocrack is one of my fav pastimes
I have a friend who is slowly depopluating the island (name of Grock the ***hole) basicaly he became decently powerfull thne went and became a vamp
here is the deal, any one you talk to as a vamp will attack you on sight, if they hit you first, you can kill em with no punishment ;D so he selectivly wipes out a town, generaly ending with the guard captin
and the other thing to remember is that, no, this is NOT and FPS, it is simply a CRPG, thus no, all of the skill reqired is AI bashing (get on top of a rock and then shoot em to death )
Personally I kinda liked some of the sound bits you hear going around town..."We're watching you...Scum!" I've run/am running several characters through the game(a Redguard Crusader, a Dark Elf Assassin, and currently a custom-class Imperial), and it's still pretty fun. Anyone play the expansion? Pretty wild stuff, even for mid-upper end characters. Some really nice items though, plus there's Gaenor, who I suspect is Fargoth's slightly less annoying but more greedy brother.
i love the game morrowind!, ive started playing it eversince i put more ram into my computer* had 128 and the game lagged horrible, put another 128 in and bam, all smooth. one of my favorite sound clips would be when they say.... "i know there watching me, i can tell" lol *thats great!* makes me wonder why a computer person would be paranoid oh well. im at level 8 now. im a rouge w/nord race. i love my dai-katanna! but have to keep my silver longsword in the inventory incase i come in contact w/a scamp that can only be killed by that type of wep. my favorite part of the game is just travelling around, the world is soo big just fun going into tombs and stuff and taking the riches. in vivec some part in one of the lower buildings *poor part* i bought a glass dagger for 57gold 4000 weapon i guess , nothing real nice about it really for being an exspensive wep. anyone comment on it? i have 2, stole one from a dead skeleton and had to run like heck as so the huge guy w/unbelieveable magic powers could kill me . great game i think.
I thought Gothic was better, and Gothic 2 is around the corner.. yay

I got tired of morrowind after i managed to enchant a druidic (or was it draedic?) battle axe into giving me 80 Hps in one second. No challange after that. Might argue that i should have tossed the axe into a lake or something but i just lost interest.
Oh well.. tastes differ... not trying to put you down or anything
Yea, Gothic is really nice (not to mention that Piranha Bytes are pretty high on my list of people to send my portfolio to), although rather difficult. Honestly, I currently don't dare to try Gothic 2 for fear of getting my ego crushed by a bloodfly again.
Guide to making the most kickass RPG EVER: -Take everything that made Baldurs Gate (1 and 2) great. -Replace the story, setting, and characters. -Upgrade to a spiffy 3d engine a'la Morrowind.
Why is it so hard to find a good RPG these days? Bioware was workind on a 3d RPG (and it looked great) but then they canned it. All I want is something like Fallout or Baldurs Gate in wonderful 3d with a good story! Thats what a RPG is!
Where are the huge hulking Orges? The terrifying undead liches? The depth and number crunching statisctics?! It seems like every RPG these days wants to dumb it down. We need to get back on track and continue where the Baldurs Gate series left off!
Oh and another thing that SERIOUSLY pisses me off...where is the party system! Im sick of RPGs that only let you control 1 player! What strategy does that involve?
Come on Bioware get back on the ball here...you make hardcore RPGs, not shooters.

oh, and daedric (or something close)
Its fun becasue of the huge scope of the world, and I really enjoy the many different character classes you can become.
I think there is a game faq of things to do when your bored in morrowind, and one fo them was kill everybody in the land.
