How To Handle Cheaters?

<div class="IPBDescription">I got a demo, now what?</div> I got a demo of a guy using ogc (aimbot, speedhack, possibly wallhack). You can see these things fairly easily. This was on - NS:teamKUA.com v1.03 - 216.211.193.21:27016. Now what do I do? I've zipped it up, and I can't seem to find any contact information for the server operator. I got the hackers wonid, however I didn't see his ip listed in the "status" in the console (I think in frontline force it actually does show up, but I could be wrong). Zipped, the demo is like a meg, and i can send it if people find me in #cosa-ns on gamesnet. Is there something else I can/should do?

If you can't find the server operator, then there really isn't anything you can do and probably means the server isn't admined anyway.

This is why admins really need to put some info in their sv_contact :/

Well every server has a sv_contact cvar where your meant to put in the email address of the server admin. This is so people viewing the server in a browser or whatever will know how to contact them.

when you type "record something.dem" in the console, you create a demo file in your ns directory (typically c:\sierra\half-life\ns) called "something.dem". In order to view it, you can either type "playdemo something.dem" or "viewdemo something.dem" or download geekplay and simply navigate to the ns folder, double click on the file, and click play when geekplay comes up. Of course, this is all assuming a windows system.

I've been regged for over a month, I just don't post cause I don't see a point in posting something unless you truly have something original to post (in other words, don't just repeat what someone else has already said or spam 1 word replies). This cheater just **** me off, since one cheater on the marines team CAN make the difference in a game (especially if he decides to spawn kill, as I've seen on some servers. When the admin was told about it, he didn't do a damn thing. This is curious, since when I comm on that server, I typically do a hive rush with the marines, and if we win, the admin does an admin_slayteam on us. But it's ok as long as you don't kill the hive - just kill the aliens as they spawn with your aimbot. Oh well, I don't play there anymore anyway... Oh look, now I've gone off on a tangent)...
