Subnautica Below Zero - constant physics glitches

I am experiencing constant glitches with all physics-affected objects in the game. They keep flickering, juddering and jolting in random directions before popping back into place. This happens several times a second. Because the glitches only last a fraction of a second, I was unable to capture any of them in a screenshot. All Windows and NVIDIA updates have been performed, no mods are installed, and the bugs still manifest on starting a new game. Reinstalling the game and verifying file integrity in Steam has no effect.

My PC's specs are as follows:
Windows 10 64-bit
Intel Core i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60GHz
32 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER video card

Subnautica version 44290

Getting support on this issue is proving impossible. No-one seems to know what's going on, no-one else seems to have encountered this bug and worst of all, no-one seems to care. Should I simply abandon this game and get a refund? I can't play it as-is.

I have to admit that I'm disappointed with the lack of support for this game. Since it seems that it is simply not compatible with my PC, I will have no choice but to get a refund. To the developers at Unknown Worlds Entertainment I can only say this; thank you for nothing.

XB-SX Well I have only 22hrs+ on my first save since xbox release on may 13? 2021, I've lost my first PRAWN in the terrain near the Garden. Start again? I have 80% resources needed but have only 3 or 4 achievements. Hmmmmm.

I would like to apologise to Unknown Worlds Entertainment for letting my frustration get the better of me. The bug I encountered has started turning up in other games and a complete re-install of Windows has failed to fix it. It is possible that my computer will need some kind of physical repairs before I can use is for gaming again.

@Grey_Dragon it may be worth rolling back your graphics driver to a previous version.

your CPU and GPU are ancient fossils, and you might need MORE ram.

I would also like to note that subnautica is not recommended to be played on a Windows 95 machine.

It might be a GPU fan, had one go out and the graphics card started heating up, causing glitches.
