<div class="IPBDescription">Why Do Phase Gates Cause Lag?</div> On natural selection the Phase Gates seem to preduce a major lag if you are facing them. It is most likely because of the lighting and the many sprites coming off of it. Is there a way to get rid of the sprites. If so I would like to know cuz I absolutely hate lags.

It's actually because the phase gates look so real that the midgets that do all your graphics processing see a way out and go for it. But as soon as they stop rendering it they don't see it anymore and go back to rendering. It's a never ending cycle of "see it","run for it","it dissappears","go back to rendering"
So in other words, theres no way around it?
(without spending money i mean =)
Because i have this same problem, when facing it behind a wall i get about 8 fps, and when looking directly at it, im at about 3-4.
