I notice that they call the Sub zero an expansion. Does that mean it is a readjustment of this game or a new game? I see similarities in the concept art.

What do you mean by "readjustment"?

They are calling it a "stand-alone expansion"- suggesting it is a new game that will not require you to have the original installed. It's not exactly DLC, takes place in a new part of 4546B (so it doesn't really "expand" the base game). I don't think they want to call it a "sequel" since it is going to be a shorter, smaller experience (about a 10-20 hour experience on a map about 1/6 the size of Subnautica, according to their roadmap).

I really hope it is not going to be a "shorter game with a much smaller map" that i do not like the sound of.

That's exactly what it is. It's probably a smaller, shorter spin-off of Subnautica for a lower price.

They are aiming for a $10-$15 price point, I believe

From what I've seen, there's actually a lot more to do than in the classic Subnautica game.
