Self-Scan Doesn't work

I'm on the Subnautica early access 10/17 build for Mac.

Ever since I started playing several months ago, self-scan has been broken. When I press "F" to self-scan like it says, the scanner flashes and unequips. It's fine afterwards and operates like normal, but this happens every time. I've never been able to access the disease progression portion of the story.

Anyone else having this issue?

In-game reporting keeps timing out...so I can't report it anymore.

I haven't seen this behavior before. Are you on a new game since the latest early-access patch, or are you running off of a previous saved game?

This might be because of mac itself just like the save and load bug on xbox

First thing to try is verify game files on steam.

If that doesn't work, restart PC then uninstall the game. Make sure everything but your saves is gone, then reinstall.

Yeah, did that...on my Mac, as it says in the op. Still doesn't work properly.
