Weather?

There should be some weather in the game, storms, rain, wind, etc. Its perpetually sunny yet the Degasi logs mention how they are basically getting drowned on land. You could even have solar power not work during storms and wind power for those that absolutely must build on land. It would also give more incentive to maintain a Bioreactor for the steady power supply.

Agreed, weather effects would make a big difference. It would be great to have bigger waves during storms too, maybe damaging your base if it's in the shallows.

I agree. It makes no sense how the ocean is so calm with those moons so close. It would be awesome if there were low tides, high tides, and storms that could potentially harm your base or move your escape pod or something.

While were on the subject of tides, visible currents would add a whole new part to the game, being useful for accelerated transport and possibly a way to make power (similar to the wind turbine ideas.) Plus, if the Arctic Biome is coming, currents could be a way to reach it, kind of like a fast travel point, taking the player in a cut scene and then into a loading screen as the arctic map is loaded in.

Rain would be a lovely thing to see in Subnautica (or that infamous storm from Degasi audiologs).
I keep coming back to Solus Project because it has the best in entire market storms and full-sized hurricanes! (in fact, I don't remember any other first person game that would render hurricanes as a part of in-game weather system)

Be careful of potential update spoilers
Been digging through the game files and there's an awful lot of code related to a weather system.
It mentions rain, snow, etc. No idea whether this is leftover code from something that was never implemented or whether it's a new feature being worked on but it's there :)

I'm just gonna drop here a few examples of an intense weather change, properly done in an indie-game
