in Subnautica General Discussion
How come they don't give markers for the underground facility, Thermal plant, or the Queen's layer anymore? I am sure we all know where they are by now, but seeing where is nice too.

    Ooooh to have the enviable job of being the "Queen's Layer" ...

    Does that mean one gets to bed all the "Queen's Handmaidens" as well???

    I think even I would be exhausted after a week or two of that!!

    It sucks yes for sure, but I think its better that way as it gives you the great feeling when you uncover its location, also the devs said that they don't want it to be follow the signal thing anymore and I think its better that way

    I've generally been able to find these things on my own, but with slow-loading terrain and no way to map my location other than with beacons it's awfully frustrating.

    Well I know where most of those places are except the Queen's layer I went sw only to run into a dead end lava river where warpers suck you out of the PAWN, and it falls into the lava and exploding. The warpers have the courtesy of warping me out of the PRAWN and I don't blow up with it.

    Exploration of the deep areas is hard at points, but you usually just need to go deeper.

    I am unfamiliar with the stuff that deep.

    But I'm the guy who told some on the XCOM 2 Long War 2 boards that it wasn't HEAVEN but HAVEN when referring to the zones in the game.

    I think the game relies on you reading, which is okay by me. I haven't played in a while but I remember there being something that told you that there was another facility 2000m down or something, so if you read that you would go down and explore. It seems like it's to encourage exploration, instead of just escorting you to the exact location you need to get to.

    Now that they know that they spelled layer wrong, can we start going over how they say Queen instead of Emperor, and no, don't say Empress either.



    and before you say anything else, it isn't female, there is only one gender on the planet. Bart Simpson has a female voice actor and he is a boy. Male Ladybugs are still called Ladybugs

    Yes, but calling it Queen's lair implies you are calling it female. It may have a female voice actress but it is still called Emperor. Like I said, a characters voice actor does change their gender. Like I said, Bart Simpsons is voiced by a woman despite Bart being a boy. As well as the planet only has one gender that can lay eggs and fertilize them. Despite this some creatures would still need a mate to reproduce. As well as it is a lot easier to just say PCF than Queen's lair.
