Subnautica uninstalled recently

For some reason my game just uninstalled itself for NO reason, I am on PC obviously and it just uninstalled itself and I have no clue why.

    I think it's Steam's fault. I had the same with Team Fortress 2.

    Was the game actually uninstalled? Surely the files were still on your HDD, but Steam somehow disabled the link in the game library. Perhaps a form of file corruption?

    That happened to me few weeks ago no idea why but it's icon was there on the desktop but it's files were no where to be found it's something on steam's side

    It happened to me aswell and the files were no where to be found so something must have went wrong on steam's side I guess

    I had the problème once.
    I checked the files, they were in place, and seems to have the right amount of giga.

    Since I could not restore the files since Steam thought there was no files.
    So I decide to re-download having no other options then Steam realise the files was there so Steam just check the files, and correct a few.

    This is still strange, must be some kind of corruption. Or, in a worst case scenario... HDD issues (failure?)

    I know this is a little old but I just had this happen to me today. This is on a perfectly fit and functioning 840 Evo SSD. It's not the disk... and when you "install" it, it suddenly discovers all the existing files. It's definitely a Steam issue. The good news is that it didn't scrag my savegame like someone else on the net said happened to them.
