Attaching Sprites To Models

<div class="IPBDescription">possible?</div> I've been thinking for a while now that it'd be neat if you could mount sprites on models, like having lights on the skin maybe being augmented by a little glow sprite, or doing something to make it look like the shoulder lamp on Kahler's "full" Hudson model is switched on.

Is any of that possible? I know <i>some</i> sprites are mounted on models already, like the red glowing mouth of the big blue monsters in HL, and aren't muzzle flashes attachments?

hmm yeah its possible I do believe theres alot of coding involved for such things, like somebody has just produced muzzle flashes for dod and that was custom made so yeah its possible

Ah, that's just a matter of editing a sprite. What I wonder about is actually attaching one to a model. Another thing I'd not mind trying (like withthe shoulder lamp thing) would be to put a little light halo/ball on the TSA marine model's laser sight, as a compromise for not having the red line.

afaik if the model doesn't have one normally, you can't add it.

    I'm probably wrong though D:

You have to edit the mod itself to include the code for where it needs to go and such.
