Freelook

I think having free-look while piloting a seaglide/prawn/seamoth would be an amazing addition that would help improve situational awareness. Another application for this is to allow for seamoths and seaglides to survey the ground without angling in a weird way

The seaglide has a map on it. The trello does show that the map for the seaglide might be updated. The PRAWN would be nice, but I'm not so sure with the seamoth since it turns very fast and has the sonar upgrade. But everything else is nice

Hmm, dunno about you but doesn't the Seamoth turn on a dime. I often fly sideways or backwards and then instantly turn around, to go forward...

It is kinda like freelook with a mouse-smoothing slowdown effect but a tad bit slower :D

the seamoth is very fast when it turns, which can be kind of nauseating and disorienting depending on who is playing. And i find the sonar hard to read at certain angles with the seaglide. My biggest concern is with new saves, and finding fragments you need

Ahh, Seamoth drifting. Can totally say I did quite a bit of that after seeing Baby Driver.
But to the topic at hand, I'm not sure I can really see the use for this. There's always a way to continue going the way you want no matter what direction you're looking, and implimenting something like this might make using the Seaglide/moth a lot less intuitive.
