Oculus Rift Not Working With Touch Controllers

Hi all,
I am fairly new to Subnautica(22hrs) and I have had a GREAT experience with the game -- but I have come across something concerning.
The game has a VR mode selection, and I am trying to play it on Oculus Rift with the Touch Controllers, and it seems like I am just stuck. My player model will not move, or interact with anything while using the controllers (Have not tried to use it without the controllers). I have tried rebooting the game, and the computer to see if maybe it was an internal issue, it wasn't.
My character will move if i move around with the headset on. But other than that, no dice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
