How the dev team can keep adding updates

I think that the dev's (post v1.0) should update the game by gradually, say every 4 months for a year or two, add a simi-big update focused on one idea that they either had or was suggested. And possibly some sort of huge-ish (one time) dlc that say for $20 would add a big concept like, an expansion to the story line and and much larger area of the planet to explore with more creatures and many secrets to find. Just an idea to maybe help the flow of updates post release. And the big dlc could be like a thing that they put in the works now and don't release for a year or two once all the other updates have finished, although that could most likely be replaced with a sequel or "Spiritual successor" that preludes to this game.

I think that's what theyre doing. Except once they get where they want, they'll release v 1.0. Then they'll keep updating
