Remember Those Great Rats Maps?

Ok guys, I know all about designing those kick **** RATS maps like for HL and CS. If you guys could have a RATS style map for NS what would you like to see?

I would like to see forum newbies using the search button before posting an OLD idea as new.
Rats style map is Declined because of large open areas and because of atmosphere.

Supernorn, don't overdo it on the flames. I don't see why you should see yourself as so high and mighty. Is is a bad idea, but there's no call to act like that.

i know, lets take a regular mars bar, make it a quarter of the size, charge twice as much, and call it "funsize".

this will not work for NS,this will not be playable in NS.

If you dont like the idea then you had no reason to respond. My exact question was asking what people would want to see, not asking the people who dont want to see it to respond and flame me.

Rats maps are NOT for the norm, so I didnt expect every person here to care about the post. So anyone who has something constructive to add and can build upon my conservation please feel free to do so.

you know dave comes in here with an idea

(maybe not a good one but thats all a matter of PERSONAL opinion)

and all he gets is trashed, called a n00b and other asorted names

what ever happened to curtosy and respect

if you feel strongly about it then say that but he did not need to be cursed out or made fun
of for something as trivial as that

Yeah you all need to stop with the flames please. I'm surprised bitmap hasn't opened his flamehole, he's usually the first one to jump in on these and always says the same thing: "Noooooo this kind of map will ruin NS!!!!!1!!!!!"

I must say I find it quite ridiculous that people would flame a message with such a simple question.

It was clearly obvious that this post was directed at people who would enjoy such maps. If you don’t care about them, then why even respond?

If this is how the mapping community is I will make sure never to post a question for anyone.

Indeed.

I can understand if you have issues with the concept of a rats map, especially in NS. However, if you don't like it, there's an easy enough fix: Don't download it, and don't play it when it comes up on a server. It'll be as if it doesn't even exist. Chill out, and deal with it.
