i hope it's not delayed, my game is unplayable until they fix the drop of fps in submarines with this update ...
This! After last update, my game was so bugged to the point I could not play. Reefbacks "attacking" my lifepod from the beginning, exosuit falling through the terrain, low fps and so on... Well it cannot be worse
4 bleeding times in a row......heh,you guys may as well just finish the primary resherch facility rather then put out the first half like the timeline says at this rate, but seriously keep up the great work, you created a wonderful game and world and i am proud to have been a part of its devolpment to some extent, watching your game grow and grow over time
I see from Discord that we will have to wait until tomorrow for the patch. < sigh >
I really jinxed it, didn't I?
No, no, no. Well, yeah, you did.
Guys and gals, a moment, please? Let's all be honest with ourselves here. Would we rather
A. The devs hit an arbitrary release time for an update even if it's unready, buggy, and generally horrific, or
B. The devs take whatever time they need to turn out something that's high quality, at least nominally stable, and up to Subnautica standards?
Personally, I'm going B on this one.
I've played enough games that rushed to hit a pointless deadline and were total crap because of it. Or weren't total crap but were way below what they should've been. Look, UWE is, relatively speaking, a pretty small group of people. They don't have hundreds of developers working in multiple teams on every facet of the game. But they game they've produced is incredible. Why? Because unlike massive developers (looking at you, EA), they're taking the time and effort to do it right. None of this release-day-patch BS because the title was rushed out the door, or any of the two hundred billion other damn dumb things so-called AAA studios have inflicted on the gaming world because of flimsy reasons.
So, devs, for my part, take whatever time you need to keep doing the job right. We'll be here; where else are we going to go? Subnautica is unique. And even if there were an alternative, it wouldn't be as good - for all the reasons listed above. And while we might gripe and moan and complain about delays, deep down - no pun - I think most of us feel the same way.

Well, only three more years to go.
That's not all that bad.
My guess is we won't get it till Thursday now.
That screenshot was taken from the official subnautica discord server, there's a link to it in the pinned post "New Subnautica Chatroom"
The Illuminati is controlling us all! I mean no such deep conspiracy.
JK though I'm perfectly OK waiting another month if need be. Sounds like it's hard to name the next update based on what it will contain.
yes yes you did.....*squidward voice* GET OUT!*glass breaks from impact
