This may be a stretch, but what if the radio had to versions (i am super tired and wish i was super drunk, so bear with me,) one version is the version we have now, a wall constructable general radio for recieving transmissions. But what if a second variant was created in a manner like the scanner room that had functions of tracking fauna allowing an upload to the cyclop's horn. the new deployable item here would be sound blocks, where remotely record and project audio bites to either lure or drive away certain animals, and or act as an early warning system for predators... my only worry is how sound works underwater, its harder to hear with how we communicate but sound travels for hundreds of miles, and one item can track every leviathan in the map with ease in theory.
