  I love your idea. How did you think of it? Im not very far into the game, is there bait to lure Bone shark or Sand Shark? I know you can drop scrap metal for stalkers or even shoot peepers at them, but I didn't think you could craft bait.

  you cant craft bait
  thats why im saying it should be craftable
  add on; put a funtion in the observatory that can do a bigger secondary scan of the creature in front of it, get ye sum bait and scan the bastard. have it for all the aggressive fauna

  Something is only scary when you have little to no way to combat it. Reapers are already pretty non-threatening to experienced players, so anything else that gives you an advantage over them seems unnecessary.

  Not really for an advantage but more for research purposes, anything that brings them near you is not an advantage
  
  Also for creative mode if you want one of these things swimming around your base
