Bytor: it's true. People who study the eye (for graphic or UI design) know that blue is the worst color to display text in because of the eye's relative insensitivity to it. All else being equal, blue text is worse because "short-wavelength light (blue) is not well focused by our optics".

Odd thing is, White and Black is much more painful to read than Blue and Dark Blue. I don't care what tests say - my eyes say otherwise.
On top of that, if we're insensitive to it, perhaps it explains why it is such a good forum color. If we're overly sensitive to it (such as bright colors), it would explain why it hurts so much more to read it. Maybe that doesn't make sense.
Still, my eyes hurt less with this forum than the old one. Good job NS team.
Well, personally i can live with this skin, but it would be great to be able to select what skin you want (like: marine, kharaa, board dependend, classic)

I'd say the light blue text looks best; the white is ok as well. The grey and black have too low of a contrast compared to the dark blue background. Please no red text, though.
I love the dark blue background, though. Much better on the eyes compared to all those lighter colored backgrounds that most forums have.
Its kind of weird how the new-post title entry field is white on white but no biggie.
The emot-icons acting strange is maybe a good thing. It gets people to use em less instead of having one after every sentence <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Guys who say the new post title box is white on white care to PM me your browser info? It should be white on blue. I am using IE 6, version that came with XP and it works fine. What you mention seems like a 1/1000 bug as I have only heard it twice now.
