Hello I Just Bought The Game Subnautica Yesterday I Have Come Across A Problem Which Is That The Game Is Outdated And I Can't Seem To Update It

I Have Tried Verifying The Integrity Of The Game Cache But That Didn't Help.

The Way I Found Out About This Issue Is That I Watch The Youtuber JackSepticEye And In His Recent Subnautica Videos He Seems To Be Playing On "Early Development Build 42634 Dec-2016" While My Game Is On "Early Development Build 42313 Dec-2016"

This May Not Affect The Game That Much But It Feels Like I'm Missing Out On Something. Could It Possibly Be That Since He Is A Youtuber He Gets To Try A Newer Build? Idk But I Would Really Appriciate Some Help

P.S I Can't Enter The Aurora For Some Reason. It Has Already Exploded So That Can't Be The Issue, Please Help

Everything is as it should be. Jack plays on Experimental, which gets updated several times daily. You can activate this version too if you'd like and don't mind risking horrible gamebreaking bugs. Otherwise, you are playing the default Stable mode, which gets updated only once a month.

What exactly do you mean "can't enter the Aurora"?

Latest stable build is as of right now 42313 Dec-2016

Sean is on "experimental build" which is the live development build and can be very buggy, but does have the latest content. He has no special privileges ;)

Anyone can change this setting in their Steam library: Subnautica (rightclick) -> Properties and check out the "BETAS" tab. If you change it to "experimental" Steam will download the necessary files and you will then start up in experimental mode. However, I do have to emphasize it is experimental for a reason (performance/bugs might occur), upside is that you do get the latest content. Lotsa files to download usually though when switching between them. And don't worry you can go and switch between them, so you're not stuck on experimental if you don't like it or have issues.

However the latest stable build is the precursor one, which is the big content patch

    Damn ninjas :D
