Game Crashes On Linux After Loading Screen

I recently decided to try playing Natural Selection 2 on my Arch Linux laptop. When I try to play the tutorial or any other gamemode, NS2 crashes back to the desktop, after the "Precaching ...%" loading screen. I tried various settings and launch options, but nothing I have done made a difference.

I followed the steps for reporting issues, however I couldn't find anything for Natural Selection 2 in my "~/.local" folder, so no log or engine Config file.

I hope this can be resolved shortly. There aren't many RTS/FPS games, expecially on Linux.

    I've been playing NS2 on jessie for quite a while (for ~2 years), without any major problems... up until february, when the new updates introduces crashes for me.
    In my reading, the dev team dropped serious support for the linux platform, so they can concentrate on issues more important in their eyes.
    So as a personal advice, dont try to play NS2 on linux unless youre prepared for regular crashes... I had to boot up a win just for NS2

    I don't know why, but Arch Linux has had horrible problems playing NS2 from the very beginning (read: years). Most of the other Linux distros have had reasonable success. I hate to say it, but Arch-NS2 may never be a thing.
