I'm still extremely saddened by this, it looked like it actually had the potential to be a serious threat not only to the player but reapers as well, plus it was something that could FINALLY damage our almost immortal cyclops's...

With the developers steadily scrapping things that had some serious awe factor we need critters like that.

Cody strader said the ghost leviathan could come in the game. there is a model in sketchfab.
