Subnautica stuck at "Loading World Tiles"

Subnautica has encountered a problem that I dont understand. The other day it was working fine, but now when I try to go in my save game everything loads except for the world tiles. There is a countdown of seconds beside the "Loading World Tiles" thing, but it just keeps going up and up. I've tried waiting but it just keeps going higher and higher (1700s) This problem only appears to be one save file, if i start a new game it works fine. Please help.

    1. Make sure you are not alt tabbed during loading, it will make it load forever (hours).
    2. Verify game integrity via steam.
    3. Restart PC and try and load your save.
    4. "[VRDevice] Initialization of device oculups failed." So something went wrong here ahah, idk?
    5. Lastly was this an older save that you upgraded for the PRAWN update?

    I would suggest not trying to find a good VR experience with subnautica for the meanwhile, if you wanna use it to bug report than great, but be prepared they may be more bugs than even on PC and Xbox. :)

    That happens to me all the time too. I just have to quit out of the game and try loading it again. It usually works the 2nd time if not the 3rd. If it always crashes, maybe it's a corrupt save file. I hope not. Yea I agree with the advice about not using this in VR yet. Too many frame rate drops and too long of a loading screen of all black which causes the red tint issue to come back even with spud disabled which is terrifying.

    I had the same problem. But when I use the Esc butten use the World tiles chance in loading entety cells and then the game starts.

    Hey ! I'm having the same problem on one game. The others I had before the PRAWN update work fine as well as the newly created but the one I was the most advanced on stays stuck.
