Gasopods killing me through base walls

Not only are these pests damaging my base with their gas bombs, I am also getting injured (and three times killed) through my base walls. Can this be addressed? Is here a way to get them to stop spawning at my base? I shoo then away with the repulsor gun but they are always back eventually.

    shoo away, haha.

    Relocate your base.
Thats probably the only thing I can advise you to do.

I built my base over some rocks and sea vegetation. I saved inside the base and upon loading it, the rocks had cut through the base and I was stuck inside the rock. So I had to let myself starve, and built another base else were.
    Moved everything inside etc.

*sigh* that's going to be so much work. I've built a fairly large base. I've got some cool stuff in my aquariums that I don't want to lose :(

Do they gas up the whole base or just one part? Like one Multipurpose room?

Just the areas they're swimming over. Typically near one of my aquariums and the observation room and the adjoining hallways. They've killed some of the creatures in my aquarium

These things tried to kill me through the glass of my cyclops cockpit. I had to get out and shoot it with the repulsor cannon just to be able to get in the drivers seat! This happened after loading a save.

Well treat it how you would if you was moving house, If you had a huge house full of stuff would you just throw all of it into one moving truck? No. Go and build your new base where you want it, If you can Mod your seamoth with 4 storage mods then do that then just go back and fourth untill everything is at your new base, Then all you have to do if get rid of your last base. piece of cake.

Base moving is a pain but sometimes it's a fresh canvas to make up for mistakes or annoyances on the first base. I now do a cirlce of rooms and the middle is glass tubes connecting all of them with escape hatch out the top. It makes navigating various rooms SO much easier...some items like the enclosures and nuclear plants are fairly big, so having the easy way to navigate and get to the next section rocks. Plus getting some kind of floor plan ie food and power at the back vs construction, storage close to moon pool blah blah...little things make a big difference overall. Or I'm OCD....well.....I'm definitely OCD...

I finally got my base completely moved last night. I found a decent spot in the grand reef right above a wreck. Hopefully this will continue to stay a peaceful area (the limited area that I built in). I know further down there are crab squids and the reaper is not all that far away...only time will tell. So far, so good. I'm liking my new base much, much better.
