I like survival games and I'm trying to enjoy this game but is not working. So i have 2 countdown timers to game over, one is called thirst and the other is hunger and the numbers don't stop dropping, this isn't good feels so unnatural maybe im too stupid? So i have to keep saving and loading just to not lose all my water/food when looking at the fabricator. I don't wanna play in freedom mode because i think there is no challenge at all but maybe im missing something? I think if they just swap the numbers for words like hydrated, thirsty, very thirsty or well fed, very hungry, starving etc would be so much better. Or maybe if you don't lose food/water when you are just looking at the fabricator. Sorry for the english

If you sit or lay down, you don't loose food/water. It would be good to have the same thing for the fabricator.

That said, for annoying stuff, just use the console to give yourself a few water bottles and cooked fish.

P.S. Subnautica's emphasis is exploration, with survival and construction thrown in. Early game, survival plays an important role, but later its more an annoyance than anything.

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is... drinking water is relative easy to come by and as mentioned sitting will stop both hunger- and thirst-meters.
Still-Suits will slower the thirst drain.

The problem is that i cant think seeing the numbers frantically going down, feels like a time bomb.

Don't feels organic, looks more like a robot with the batteries running out. I had nightmares with numbers going down.

I didn't knew you can sit down to stop it, maybe i can just sit while looking at the fabricator.

    Thanks
