Storage Container in Escape Pod Broken (xbox)

Since the update, I cannot use the storage container in the escape pod. I can open it, but while in that screen I cannot select any of the items in my inventory or in the storage container's inventory. I can move to each of the items, but I cannot select them to move them between the inventories. No button has any effect on the inventory items. I have deleted my old game saves off the xbox and started a completely new game, and I'm still getting the same bug.

If I remember correctly, the way I 'fixed' it was to build a very small habitat with a glass/titanium storage locker and put something in it. Saved and then reloaded and went back to the escape pod and the container worked properly and had all my stuff in it, so nothing was lost. Hasn't been a problem after that first time.
I know it doesn't help much, because that first locker helps a lot with storage. I would recommend building a floating locker as soon as you can and use that until you can build a habitat with better storage.
