I found it on some let's player's channel, I don't even remember who it was anymore, this was months ago.
I'm always looking for games to soak up my time, and I like survival games. I spent a long time playing Stranded Deep about a year ago but got bored of it quite quickly. Subnautica looked like it could fill a gap. And it really has.
I'm also a big fan of supporting devs that deserve it. There's a lot of indie games I play regularly which I've got on early access and I enjoy watching them improve over time. It feels better to be part of a community watching a game grow than just buying a AAA game when it's finished, playing it to completion then never picking it up again.
