Lerk spore needs more tweaking?

Since lerk spore has been changed (for good or bad that's not what we are debating here). I noticed the spore range has some kind of drop off, while I initially didn't mind this, I now find it's still alittle too short to be considered a long range attack, if the initial idea of changing spores to keep lerk out of harm's way I believe it's only half achieved its purpose.

I'm not proposing to make them identical to NS1 spores which were pretty much spammed until the marines were dead but can we at least look into increasing the range of the drop off?
