Shaded tank

I think they should add a shaded large tank that would allow you to see the bioluminescence of the fish or have a jelly shroom turn the inside purple.

You can make a jellyshroom turn purple simply by planting it in the planter spots in the tank, I think this also reveals a fishes bio-luminescence.

i know you can, but you would be able to see it much better as if it were night or in a cave.

Good point, I do really like the idea and I hope the devs notices this post.

It could be done by turning off the lights of the room too.

I didn't know you could do that! (Can you?)

Don't think so, not without stripping your base of power.

I think he was just stating that if they added turning off lights you could also.

Turning off the lights per room is a cool idea and would also assist the above suggestion.

Actually turning off the light in a room isent such a bad idea, you can already turn off the light both inside and outside of the Cyclops.
Be able to turn off light in a specific room in the base would also decrease the power consumption, I rather turn off the lights in a few rooms then loose the power completely.

And if the Devs ever planning to add a creature thats getting attracted by light it can sure come in handy.

I thought that there already was fauna that was attracted to light? Namely the crab squid.

But yeah the ability to turn off the light would be nice! Either by a panel in each room or a "master" switch so to speak from a command hub.

@Murpfull a shaded tank is also another great idea.. I'm also thinking it would be nice to select what biome would be displayed in the tank. I make different tanks for different biomes. But no matter what fauna/flora go in them, they always mostly look the same :(
