Launching Error after Steam Update

Hello!
After the latest Steam update for the experimental mode I cannot load my savegame or start a new game (and there is no error message, just nothing happening after klicking on the buttons), and when I switch to the normal mode I still cannot load my save cause its a different version, but starting a new game works. Please help.
System: Mac OS X 10.11.5
