Throwing Away Items In the Game

If there is a way to throw away items in game that you no longer want, and also don't want to just dump them somewhere in a cave, please let me know!

If there is no way to do this, I have a solution. (This may be an issue only for me and OCD but anyway...)

Put up a wall locker and name it Trash

Place stuff in there you no longer want

When it is full use your builder to unbuild it

All items within disappear

Rebuild the locker

Rinse and Repeat

I don't believe there is any other way to do this (besides your solution)
I have terrible OCD and while this does not affect me so much, I would like a way to remove these objects quicker and simpler- as it can cause lag.

There's currently no way to get items to disappear but the locker method. It is, however, assumed the future incinerator will help in this matter.

Don't the craftable trash cans do this?

No, just decorative. I was excited to craft one because I thought it would be the case, but sadly, no.

I have like 5+ knives with 0% durability that just sit around taking up space. that number is growing rapidly.

Yeah, we need a knife sharpener for sure!

You can't repair the survival knife and its upgrades? That's kinda unfortunate D:
I've never had one run out of durability before so I never knew.

The only thing you can do afaik is to use a modification station with a 0% durability survival knife and turn it into either a Thermoblade or a hardened blade. Once the moded blades are "used up" they can't be "recycled" anymore. So each survival knife has kinda 2 use cycles and then is obsolete in the current game.

There currently is a bug that 0% knives can still be used, and infinitely at that. I've only recently been able to get a knife like that and I don't know what triggers it, but it solves the matter of 0% knives even existing when they should disappear permanently.

A knife sharpener is a fantastic idea!

Until they either make the trash cans functional of make an incinerator I guess it's the locker method. Inelegant but it works...

It would be funny if those annoying crab would "accidentally" sharpen your knife while you attacked it.
