Which is your favourite small creature?

Don't have a lot of choices, but it's the max I can give. So I'm only including creatures which give you food, and I'm also discarding the garryfish (sorry 'bout that).

In my opinion, the Reginald is the best one if you want food, but I don't wanna base my vote on the subject of food. So I'm going for the Eyeye just 'cause it looks like a really cute septiceye Sam.

I like the hoverfish best of the options because of its gliding motion. It's unique and pleasant to look at. But if all small creatures would be included, I'd vote the rockgrub.

I like the Oculus. At first I thought they were mechanical when I saw their eyes up close.
I also noticed a new behaviour from them. They used to wander around aimlessly but now they travel in tight-knit schools. I do enjoy watching them from my jelly mushroom cave base.

I really love the boomerang. Not only do they appear on almost all the covers of the game, but I'm also Australian so naturally I love boomerangs both in real life and in the game. To me, they are one of the most interestingly designed fish in the game.

Airsack, overall.

Reggies are the best food/fuel in the game, and Eye-eyes are best to cook if you don't have a Stillsuit or Filtration Machine because they hydrate you almost as good as they nourish you. Both are the optimum fish for certain situations, but the Airsack is the only one that can be turned into bottles of water as well as food. It also has a good food/water loss ratio - the 3rd best in the game - so you can eat them raw wearing a Stillsuit and last indefinitely. Its easy to see day or night, and easy to catch even without fins (especially at night). The fact that it looks absolutely terrified when you grab it is just a bonus, for a dedicated carnivore.

Holefish are cool cuz when you find one your like "Why Is It Here?" cuz theyre usually in groups of 1 in the most random places. But... i like he hoverfish better.
