Old save ?

Hello,

I am a huge fan of this game !

I would like to know if i am missing some news things because of my old save ?

Well, i am exploring all the map but it is very hard to find some blueprints. For the moment, i only have about 4 -5 news blueprints from the beginning.

    I think you found your answer. ;)

    The devs try to auto-update old saves as best they can, but depending on how old it is you can end up with mis-matched terrain, wrecks, etc. (don't forget that in the current versions, blueprint fragments are often found in and around wrecks)

    So it's definitely better to start a new game when a big update drops. Good luck!

    a hc player? what`s with the saves? no more not saving issues when quitting the game? still only saving when quitting? (to lazy to check it out myself) ;-)

    Well, when you have no oxygen or food you died (and you loose the save as well). You can not save the game but only when you quit the game.

    Ah, just play it until you die ;) My older saves still work reasonably well (although a lot of fish species are getting rare due to not respawning - I recently encountered one of the last holefish.

    You can make a Savegame Backup . (Your Drive where Subnautica is installed) /program Files x86/SteamLibary/steamapps/common/Subnautica/SNAppData/SavedGames

    Back Up the SaveGame Folder, and later put it in the same Place again should make you save for a try for a new Start, just to see what is new without loosing anything ;)

    Actually, couldn't the game present an option to load a saved game when you die? That would make the event much less traumatic...

    See, THIS is why I'm no longer trying to make progress in the game...I'm saving my actual play for after release, just playing with the new toys for now when I really want to explore...
