How about a way to swap out the Seamoth bay for something else?
Cyclops can go a lot deeper than the Moth so it's a little pointless to have it around if you want to go all the way to the bottom. What if you could switch out the Moth bay with a scavenged lifepod on a winch? The pod has a camera on the bottom and controls for the Cyclops. It also pulls power and O2 from the cable. You could take the Cyclops down to 1500m, then hop in the pod and lower yourself down as much as 1000m more (using the Cyclops controls to guide yourself through cave openings). You could use it as a way to reach and built extremely deep bases.

I had an idea for a tether to a exo-suit.... since the exo-suit has no real piloting abilities in open water, other than quick hops and walking on the ocean floor.... the suit would need a way to get back to cyclops if it was being used from it... and I came up with an over-sized dive reel that can be connected to the suit only when it's docked with it. this way the suit can be winched back up to the cyclops... that is assuming the exo-suit is going to have a max depth of more than 1500m!
I'd like a nuclear powerplant mod for the Cyclops more than just about anything right now. Running it on 6 Power Cells is far too limiting. I hardly even want to use my Cyclops because of how fast it burns through them, and how hard it is to gather enough copper to keep making them.
We even have nuclear submarines right here and now on 21st century Earth. Seems like we should at least have them in this futuristic game.

I recommend commenting on the matter.

I may have to comment on that.
