so we have a lot of wrecks in Lifeboat pod wrecks and I see a lot of tech that I could use because I'm trying to survive on an alien planet.

Like self charging batterys in the lifeboat pod wrecks. I would totally try to salvage these..

I'm sure there's other equipment other people to post things
Just a idea devs.
Great game I got all my friends a copy of the game.

Actually, those aren't self-charging batteries. The lifepod comes equipped with a solar cell system. If you check your pod's power at night, you'll notice that it's not charging.

But as for the rest, YES! They're nice little decorative touches and all, but the idea that even their supply chests are all empty seems odd. As for salvaging the pods themselves, I've assumed that the "magic wand" has safety lockouts preventing anyone from using it to reclaim a pod so that survivors have it as a fallback. Maybe the ability to repair them?

they are called self-charging batteries. Anyways, you should be able to remove them from the destroyed/sunken lifepods, and put them to use in your base as emergency power, or to keep some constant use item charged. Like a emergency oxygen generator or the water filtration set up. or the Bio-scanner to Id what will grow from eggs you find out in the biomes.

I think that they didn't always only charge during the day, so the name may be a hold-over. But yes, I've long felt that we should be able to somehow link the lifepod into a base in some way, even if it's by creating a some sort of dock/cradle that can only be built near the surface that slowly draws a repaired lifepod into it and makes it a part of the base.
