This is a few things I think the game could use to see.
non-floating/suspended containers.... or maybe just the option clicking on the ballony part of the container to ether be deflated (sinks), partially inflated(stays where it is), or fully inflated(floats to surface).
The mag-dock for the cyclops... HURRY!!!! lol I think this is the most wanted of additions right now!
Make a very late game moon pool for the cyclops... why just a dock when you can have a dry-dock?
Two forward mounting slots for grabby arms. Give it a built in inventory that the current inventory upgrade is just an expatiation on, so it can pick stuff up with out having to get out and jump right back in. Could give the moon pool an inventory for arms it would swap out for you. Scanner arm, cutting arm, and maybe something like a forward mounted stasis gun as options to place in two slots. But only the grabbing arm can put stuff in the inventory.
Remove some of the starting item blueprints... stuff like the radiation suit, still suit, laser cutter, building tool, and stuff like that and make other things not imitatively learned on picking up tech for it. Instead make recovering PDA's or scanning the computers of the other life pods necessary. Then your life pod can quickly decript the information and add the blue print. When you have a base you can fine fragments for building a computer room. This could help regulate power, take upgrades for the base as a whole, and allow some programing of how the base reacts... like powering down specific devices when power drops bellow some point. Here you can take the upgrade core looking things from the large wrecks and put them (one at a time) into the computer to be decripted for blueprints. Giving a little more meaning to exploring these wrecks and using the laser cutter. You could also make it so drones can fly, so they can fly up and get into the ship from area's the player can not reach and recover some of these from the ship.
A power storage battery for the base!! If I got a geothermal plant I would like to be able to get rid of my solar panals rather than keeping them around for there energy storage capacity. x.x
An emergency buoyancy system for the cyclops as an upgrade.
Make it so you have to enter the aquarium from above... and have airlocks... >.< Or least in game explain there some sorta force field or something... lol And if there is force fields let us set up some in passage ways so if the base is damaged and has power they will go up and stop water from spreading from damaged areas to undamaged, also make water get in when using a hatch when the base has no power.
The price on the vertical connector and ladder seams a little off... may just be me but think 1 is enough for them at least the ladder.
Can you make some sorta planters for shelf coral, and 4x4 seeds for mushroom tree's.... I would love to just be able to grow the coral, and I know plently of people who would like to just have a garden growing everything together.
On the talk of renewable resources.... you could have the ship try and fire it's engines due to some unknown signal or a glitch in the damaged systems, a few days after repairing the leaks. the ship driving down into the ground could cause a minor earthquake shaking free some new resources and the exspoding engines send some more scrap metal raining down.
