Cyclops stuck in Jelly Shroom Cave

Earlier today I was diving deep (~1000m) with my Cyclops in search of an underwater cave entrance signal. Upon arriving at the location, I discovered that nothing was there and decided to head back to my main base. After driving around for a while at 900m I noticed that it had been a really long time since I'd seen terrain of any kind. So, I saved the game (probably a huge mistake on my part), quit to desktop and reloaded.

When I logged back in I was unexpectedly thrown into the water from my Cyclops bridge where I proceeded to watch the Cyclops bounce off a cave ceiling before settling in the midst of the Jelly Shroom cave.

After exploring the cave's entirety with my Seamoth, I have yet to find an entrance/exit big enough for my Cyclops.

Do I need to face facts and accept that my mobile home is permanently stuck in this cave? I looked through the debug list but I didn't notice anything that would teleport my submarine out of it's prison. Thanks for any tips/ideas.

Sadly, you are correct - there is no natural entrance to the jelly shroom caves large enough for the cyclops. Bugs is bad.

You do have one recourse at this point, which is that the Terraformer is still in-game, so you could carve a hole (or widen an existing one) such that you could drive the clops out.

Great idea! In my despair I didn't even consider that as an option, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

You're welcome. And good luck. Probably gonna take a lot of digging to get that sucker out - the entrances to that cave are pretty small.

There is a way to get it in and out. But it's crazy.

Line up your sub with the inlet. Nose of the sub in the center of the inlet. Go down, the tall of the sub gets tapped on the land and the face of your sub goes down. Then slowing keep going to you clear it
