[Bug] Start Screen Malfunction Build 31112 date 4/5/16

I have encountered a Graphical Bug on the main menu of the game after updating the game to the recent version that supports the VR Occulus Rift integration. The problem that I've encountered has been on game start up two thirds of the screen goes black and I am unable to see any of the menu's options such as load game, new game, etc. I am able to use them but I am unable to do anything past that. The black would flicker when using commands or using steam overlay to take screenshots. I am not the only one encountering this problem as seen in the Steam comments posted under bugs,crashes, & other horrors in the community discussions for Subnautica. http://steamcommunity.com/app/264710/discussions/3/371918937281486753/

    did you try to check game's files or reinstall this game? do you play with oculus or not?

    I do not play with the oculus, and I was playing on the normal mode. I have not tried reinstalling it yet.

    I just reinstalled the game, It's still showing the black screen anomaly in the game I would give the game's log file information but I'm unable to find it.

    check for updates DirectX and Video card drivers, Service Pack 1 for Windows, as i see on your pic - game try to start but stuck. anyway half of image was showed - so something stuck while launch-game process SUCCESSFULLY was start. Looking like problem in some support devices/drivers/files - not in game's files (libraries of DirX, C++, .NetFramework or something like that) Try this way. I Hope it can help, pal

    I have already updated my Nvidia drivers with no change but I'll see what I can stir up with the direct x and service pack. I'll see what I can do to fix it with the Nvidia video card settings and preferences as well if that doesn't work.

    Just a thought but if it were a problem with my direct x and video card drivers, or sevice pack would the same anomaly happen on my other games as well?

    A few time ago I have a same situation with some another games - installing Win SP1 pack can help and fix that bugs. I hope it can help to you too

    Alright so updating the direct x, video card drivers, and service pack did no difference. I did find that when I started up a new game it goes away though.
