  Well there WAS a map room in the concept art, but we don't know when the concept art was drafted.

  They already introduced the item symbols for the Blueprint and the Scanner Room itself. It looks a bit like a toilet seat, but clearly shows some sort of map when zooming in.

  I thought the concept art is newer, but if it is loder (I didn't notice), that means devs had this in mind. I think there is really SO MUCH content coming our way, it is overwhelming. If someone complains now for lack of content, I can see why, kind of. But in the future, OMG THERE WILL BE SO MUCH THINGS.

  I know several community members, myself included, have posted threads in the Suggestion Forums regarding this idea. Truly hope it comes to pass in a well realized fashion.
  
  I envision a large Control Room with a big center table that can project a 3D hologram map. Some consoles around the outside of the room where we can scan for signals and transmit an SOS into space. A mainframe where we can pool data learned from scanning, analyzers in the Lab, etc. A security station where we can view camera feeds watching over our generators, farms and attached to search lights. There are so many ideas, lol.
