Grenades In 1.04 Need Tuning.

I've been playing on 1.04 beta servers and I have to say that the new grenades WILL become a problem. The fact that they are getting a bump in explosive damage isn't that big a deal. The problem is that in 1.04 the siege turrets do not work as well (a change I wholeheartedly agree with), so that commanders have better luck just dropping grenade launchers and having HA walk in to clean out hives instead of sieging.
I've been in at least one game on 1.04 where the whole marine team had grenades and they just spammed them all over the place. They were unapproachable. Why? No friendly fire. They didn't need HMG backup to cover close combat. They just spammed grenades at their feet and jumped around a bit until the aliens are all dead. Then lob them down the hallways again.
Reconsider friendly fire for grenades. I personally think that grenades should do full damage to anything they hit, friend of foe. They are a very powerful explosive and shouldn't be extremely useful in the hands of a very bad player because he can just drop them at his feet and not be scratched.

The entire marine team was equipped with jetpacks/heavy armor, and grenade launchers. More than on one occasion, I was a <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> in a heavy armor's face, only to be brought down by grenades at his toes. I took about 4 chomps out of him, and the 4 grenades that fired off, the very first one destroyed me, but the other 3 didn't even kill the heavy.
I'm certain that I was actually getting hits on the heavy because I heard that unique crunch noise that happens when you bite a marine.
I'm all for the new strength (maybe) of the new grenades, but they need to have some sort of minor/medium splash damage to teammates, and/or high/full damage to the grenadier.
Grenades can't do damage to teammates because it is too llama-able.

This should be fixed <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
It would make the commander less willing to give grenades out to idiots or terrible players, and would make grenades into the very powerful, but very dangerous weapons that they are supposed to be.
