Please, Power Lines not through terrain ...

Please, let the power lines only go above the terrain. So that we have to consider, where we set the Power sticks.

    Agreed, also I want to be able to place the power rods horizontal and upside down. You know to traverse into the depth of the mushroom kingdom...

    This game has a lot of clipping issues it seems:

    - fish swimming through a base
    - leviathans clipping through
    - energy lines ignoring terrain boundaries
    - water surface showing up inside base rooms
    - day/night cycle appearing at lava castle cave

    Why not just ditch the idea of power lines and just pretend they sunk into the sand.

    I always thought of the 'power beam' as more of a HUD representation of the connection, just to show the links.
    For all we know they could be sending the power via "subspace channel" or somesuch sci-nonsense.

    I think power lines should stay, but as said earlier not be able to clip through terrain and being able to build upside down posts.

    They should also be less bright.

    The fish is just the AI being more forceful than the bounding boxes.

    Correct clipping is pretty hard to achieve. It's one of those things that game engines don't do very well for you. I was quite surprised with how well done the base flooding is.

    I don't mind that they go through the terrain, I always thought it was wireless energy transfer (microwave pulses)
    what DOES bug me though is:
    • inability to place them inverted (upside down to slightly below horizontal)
    • no attenuation of power (even if only 2%)
