UWE have an excellent sound designer working on the game, they don't need to go out and pay someone else for music as well..
My own thoughts on the postings, these are very nice pieces of music, but totally out of keeping with the mood of Subnautica. Those sound tracks would suit games with elves, witches and fairies, you know fantasy & magic ideas set in woodland or mountains. There is nothing vaguely watery or sciencey about these tracks.

I like the music in this game, but there is not much of it. Everything is subjective but i think the first song fits perfectly ecpecially in a more spooky area like mushroom caves or maybe later in darker dephts. The song is a little bit over-intense in the beginning though better in the middle. The composer have thousands of songs and doesn't seem to be that famous, so don't think he would charge that much for his music.. The reason you thought of elves is probably beqause of the picture.
David Arkenstone makes a lot of good background mixes that suit many moods. Sometimes I'll pop him on when building bases or exploring with a Seaglide.
I'm hoping the devs add an audio control panel soon, so we can play some of our own, or maybe even select the in-game ones like a jukebox type option. (perhaps even an editable in-menu link to go to our own folders)
I do find the current background music is already similar sounding and they appear to set the mood well on scene changes, so I give Kudos to the devs so far.

Here is a link to the Subnautica soundcloud where you can listen to the music in game, and compare it directly to the tracks you linked so you can see why they don't fit. The first reason being, at a quick listen, is that they are in the wrong key...
