I've weaned myself off of coffee (for the most part, except for the occasional relapse) and onto green tea-- not the sweet bottled kind, but the somewhat bitter dried-green-tea-in-a-bag kind. Tossing two into a cup of boiling water gives me more than enough caffeine, and it's actually got a pretty hefty serving of antioxidants in it, which never hurts.
I don't drink coffee, I drink Bawls. Lots of Bawls. I have to get my webserver back online and show you my kitchen. Most people put Corona bottles around their counters and cabinets - my apartment has lots of Bawls bottles everywhere.

Oi. Talk about serious rampant stupidity. Get an alarm clock.
I drink coffee, chai, and coffee and chai blended together. The coffee is decaf though. Why? It's very high quality, and tastes MM-MM-GOOD! Adding chai is just uber-ridiculous-tastey.
What happened to taste buds, anyway? Now it seems like all people comsume are chemicals. Go grab yourself some good Itailian food, stuff yourself, then take a nice, long nap. You will be much happier doing this than getting hopped up on drugs so you can play NS 24/7.
Cmon now! what are you talking about? What hath all night gamers got without their holy cups o' caffiene, or their "slightly illegal stimulants"? Nothing i say, nothing! aaahhh, the warm feeling of a cup o' joe at 2 in the morning is all that a true gamer really needs! Either that or a few papers to roll, a street physician, and a few hours to waste, either way your happy, right?

Scientists have discovered the brains natural state is asleep, and to wake up, your hyperthalamous pumps a chemical around your brain called orexin. Developed as a cure for narcoleptics, who usually only have 10% of the normal orexin producing glands that most do, a substitute for orexin is being experemented with in terms of effects of eliminating sleep. The interesting thing about it is that they have so far reported no side effects at all. The theory is that within the next ten years or so, we may have the ability to create a true 24 hour society. Wheter we choose to or not is a matter for another discussion.
When it is time for sleep, the hyperthalamous stops producing orexin, and you go to sleep, so in theory, if you can synthisize the orexin, you could eliminate sleep.
Please do not say that you know that the body could not handle this. You do not know this. An interesting experement was performed some time ago. A group were shut away from all natural lights, and had no time source, for a month. They had full control over wheter it was light or not, and they just lived a normal life like this for a month. By the end of the month, every single one of them had reverted to a 23 hour day. Not 24, but 23.
If you still dispute the fact that people could do without sleep, I will leave this question for you to ponder.
Do you think we hold 24 hour days and the day has 24 hours by coincidence?
its a proven medical fact that sleep is a human NECESSITY. You must sleep, or you're gonna be screwed up, and eventually will die. There's a certain type of crazy you can go too if you stay up for 3 days, though i can't remember the name of it at the moment. But people dreaming of a 24 hour society are crazy.
But really, who WANTS a 24 hour society? that just means the boss will want you to work an 18 hour shift...
seriously though.... the only times i have stayed awake longer than 24 hours i have litterally found myself talking to poeple who aren't there and think about really wierd stuff.

The longest I ever went without sleep was when I went to Providence, RI and bowled until 5 in teh morning, then, when I got back, I had to go to a football game(MARCHING BAND ROCKS!). But, before I went, I watched mystery science theater 3000, and I don't think I stopped laughing for more than 2 minutes. I was on the floor half the time. It was funfunfunfunfun.
