FPS drops today

I was playing and recording some subnautica earlier today, but I just sat down about an hour ago and tried to record/play some more and noticed two things:
1) My recordings, when I play them back, freeze every 4-5 seconds as I watch them, kind of stuttery. This isn't happening in-game. Also, instead of getting the usual 40ish fps when recording, I was getting 25-30.
2) Even without recording (closed OBS entirely), I'm getting 20fps less than what I used to get. I restarted my computer and only ran Subnautica, still getting the same crappy fps.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
