Flying cyclops

So I finally finished my cyclops and after exploring it I decided to do some decorating. On my swim back from my sea base however I paused to go do something and when I unpaused the sub was gone. Some frantic looking around revealed it to be perched, unmoving in the sky. It's above where my stasis gun projectiles explode so I think that means it's beyond the skybox.

Maybe I followed the wrong blueprints?

oh ok. well i had the same thing i got up to it with the terriformer and it just well fell back to the ocean when i got to the wheel. Another idea with that is if you can just use it as a scout/watchtower
