Did I just reach the end of the map or it goes further then 3000m deep? video included

I was trying to go really deep and when I hit 3000m there was the very 90 degree angle there and that seemed to do under the map?

    The World block is about 3000m deep currently, after that there's just darkness...

    They should put a massive menacing horrifying cthulu like creature that dwells at that depth....... Or just a hole in the ground that leads to Australia

    There are rumors that there will be lava zones in deep areas. Perhaps this could be under the entire map.

    There are already (unfinished) "inactive lava" zones at ~1200m.

    Inactive lava zone is about 600~1200m depending where you are in the map, active lava zone I think starts around 1500m? I forget the exact depths off the top of my head.
