You know, the usual stuff, gender, hair, color etc, etc, might help with immersion, I bet we all already play like we were in there (as in, making the same decisions we would make on RL), one thing for this though, is that if this gets implemented, they need to add a 3rd person cam, otherwise it will be pointless to customize your char looks, but of course, that means a bit more work for the devs, but at least they use a full char model all the time, it's not like in other games where when you get into first person, your char unloads and only his arms remain, so I would guess they are halfway since it seems they animated the char fully so it looks good in first person (like when you swim backwards, you can see all the char body moving, they could just have animated the arms, but they went all the way, anyway, enough ranting, so char gen, yay or nay?

Though I believe there actually is a female model in the works. So eventually you'll at least be able to play as male o female.
If nothing else, if you're not able to modify the model of the characters, perhaps there would be a way for you to make custom skins that fit over the model, like Minecraft.

How do you know multiplayer will come out? I think a lot of the community is against multiplayer, due to fear of it becoming one of the same old same old multiplayer survival games that are currently really popular in the market.
Things like this hint at multiplayer.
